PRIVACY
POLICY
The protection of our members’ privacy and the safekeeping of confidential
information are of utmost concern to the Homeland Credit Union. It is Homeland’s
intent to comply with all applicable laws and regulations concerning the treatment
of both member and non-member information, and educate our members as to their
privacy rights under law. This policy outlines the purposes for which member
information will be collected and released outside of Homeland.
Information Collected
Homeland will only collect that information necessary to establish an on-going
relationship with members and joint account holders. Information on an individual
member may be collected from a variety of sources, including the member’s
signature card, loan application, and credit bureaus. Furthermore, Homeland will
take reasonable precautions to protect the accuracy and reliability of member
information.
Information Shared with Third Parties
Homeland will not sell nonpublic personal information on its members to any third
party. Homeland may disclose nonpublic personal information about an individual
member or members with member consent, in order to effect a transaction, to protect
Homeland’s interests, or for other purposes permitted by law and regulation.
Third Party Privacy Standards
Homeland will only disclose nonpublic personal information about its members
to third parties who demonstrate a consistent commitment to the protection of
the confidentiality of member information, and who have adopted privacy policies
comparable to those adopted by Homeland.
Security and Confidentiality
As part of Homeland’s commitment to protect the confidentiality of member
account information, Homeland will establish procedures for periodically training
staff on the importance of member privacy and the credit union’s privacy
policy. Staff will only be permitted to access member account information when
necessary for business reasons. Finally, Homeland will establish appropriate
security standards to protect against unauthorized access to member information.
Availability of Policy
Homeland is proud of its commitment to member confidentiality and will make this
policy available to any consumer requesting it. Homeland will also post the policy
on its Internet home page.
PRIVACY DISCLOSURE With Homeland Credit Union, you can be confident
that your financial privacy is a top priority. We are required by law to give
you this privacy notice to explain how we collect, use and safeguard your personal

* Homeland Credit Union collects nonpublic personal information about you from
the following sources:
* Information we receive from you on applications or other forms;
* Information about your transactions with us or others; and
* Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency.We are committed to
providing you with competitive products and services designed to meet your financial
needs, which necessitates that we share information about you to complete your
transactions and to provide you with certain financial opportunities. In order
to do so, we have entered into agreements with other companies that provide either
services to us or additional financial products for you to consider. The credit
union’s board of directors has approved each of these companies.
We may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above, to companies
that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions
with whom we have joint marketing agreements.
We may also disclose information we collect about you under other circumstances
as permitted or required by law. These disclosures typically include information
to process transactions on your behalf, conduct the operations of our credit
union, follow your instructions, or protect the security of our financial records.
If you terminate your membership with Homeland Credit Union, we will not share
information we have collected about you, except as permitted by law.
Homeland Credit Union restricts access to nonpublic personal information about
you to those employees who have a specific business purpose for using it. Our
employees are trained on the importance of maintaining confidentiality and member
privacy. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply
with federal regulations and leading industry practices to safeguard your nonpublic
personal information.
