Homeland Credit Union Members,
This morning, we were deeply grieved to hear the news of the Chillicothe Paper Mill’s pending closure. 93 years ago, our Credit Union was founded within the walls of the Chillicothe Mill, and we have deep roots in that long-standing institution. Our heart goes out to our members, communities, and the families who rely on the Paper Mill in Chillicothe for their livelihood.
We wanted to take a moment to remind our members that your money is safe with Homeland Credit Union. Although we were founded within the Mill, we are now a stand-alone institution and have been a community-based institution for the past 27 years. Rest assured that this closure, while it will affect our community and some of our membership, it will not cause any problems with your funds here at Homeland Credit Union. We are very well capitalized and have multiple layers of deposit insurance with the NCUA and ASI. So, as always, your deposits are safe!
If you are affected by this closure, we do want to remind you that we are here to help. Our financial experts are here to provide you with services and loans that will fit your budget. Should you find yourself in need of assistance, please contact us. On our website, you will find a landing page with additional information and community resources. Click here to review that page.
If you have any questions about your account or the happenings here at Homeland Credit Union, please give us a call at 740-775-3331 or email us at info@homelandcu.com.
